About the Project
The Purpose
We created the chatbot to feel just like talking to a real Chamber employee, helping people get their town questions answered without overwhelming the Chamber with phone calls. This frees up time for the staff to focus on other important tasks. Plus, the chatbot highlights and promotes Chamber member businesses, giving them more visibility and helping members get even more value from their membership.
Set Up
Getting the knowledge
We started with gathering critical resources such as the Chamber Directory, local town history, events, and other important content, ensuring we had a strong foundation of knowledge, so we could make the chatbot an expert on everything Chatham.
Creating the Prompt & Branding
The Prompt
We carefully designed the chatbot to reflect a personality that aligned with the Chamber of Commerce's values and community focus. The chatbot was trained on local knowledge sources to effectively serve as a digital guide for Chatham, Massachusetts, and Chamber members.
